David Wayne's disc caught me off guard. From the thoughtful dance version of Tasmin Archer's "Sleeping Satellite" to the new wave retro of "Take me back" to the infectious "Don't Be Shy" David Wayne left me wanting more. There haven't been too many artists that I've been able to say that about lately.

David; Simply put, I'm so glad to get an indie thing that doesn't sound like tracker music or another annoying chemical brothers rip off. This CD is great. It sorta sounds like Depeche Mode with more groove. I like them, but this is even better. I'm listening to it again for the umpteenth time and realize, your voice does a great job in carrying this. Greetings and let me just say, after listening to "Sleeping Satellite" - wow! you are fantastic.

Cool synth-rich club music. Put on your dancin' shoes and get ready to stomp the floorboards to this stuff. The music is machine-polished and puts me in the mind of groups like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, and Ultravox. Wayne's vocals glide smoothly overtop the mechanistic surface rhythms.

This is so wonderfully anachronistic, it's worth picking up for that alone. If it had been released about 15 years ago, it would have knocked Duran Duran off the charts without too much contest. David Wayne's timing, technical skill and sincerity in these pieces all ring true. Holly Day - Sorted Magazine
